I started this project on February 20, 2018. I didn't realize this was before Spector Detector till now. Interesting. Anywho, this is another dark one. At least what's dark for me. From what I can remember, it's around one of many low points in where I was feeling stuck and frustrated. Not with anyone really, just myself. I was stuck in a job I hated. 12+ hour overnight shifts. I'm getting flashbacks already. Trust me, that does not make for a happy person that enjoys their life. Not that I knock anyone that does it. You gotta do, what you gotta do. That being said, it wasn't for me. Like most things, it starts out alright but slowly eats at you. (Slow Burn amirite?) I worked more than I slept, and rarely had time for myself or anyone around me so things started to crumble. . . S L O W L Y . . . obviously to keep with the theme.
From start to finish, this track is about the buildup of tension and energy. There's some release to somewhat catch your breath. The calm before the storm (shoutoutFLITE♥) if you will. But you get kicked back into the thick of it after that quick break from our sponsors, Insomnia and Exhaustion.
As usual, the vocal sample has nothing relevant to do with the previously mentioned story. It just sounded cool. Don't act like you don't do it.
